Youth
Lil Durk grew up in the Englewood Normal neighborhood also nicknamed “Lamron” in South Chicago.
Career
Early in his career, Durk was close to the label “Glo Gang” (previously called “Glory Boyz Entertainment”) rapper Chief Keef but never signed with them. He starts rapping seriously after making his first single, Sneak Dissin, which receives a good return from the trade press. In December 2012, he made a remix of his song L’s Anthem with French Montana.

A fifth mixtape, Fuckery, is announced on the5 January 2014. However, six January 2014, he declared, on Twitter, the cancellation of his exit by Def Jam. He is part of the Freshmen 2014 magazine XXL. On March 27, 2015, Durk Uchenna’s director “Chino Dolla” Agina was shot dead in Chicago’s Avalon Park neighborhood. The killing comes just two days after Durk announced the release of his first studio album Remember My Name exiting the12 Mai 2015 whose first single is Like Me.

Lil Durk has three children: Angelo (born in 2011), Bella (born in 2013) and Zayden (also born in 2013). On May 31, 2014, Durk McArthur’s cousin “OTF Nunu” Swindle was shot dead in De Chatham Ward, Illinois.
Judicial problems
In 2011, Banks was arrested for illegally carrying a gun and sentenced to three months in prison. He is released on bail a few months later. Five June 2013 he was arrested again after supposedly throwing a loaded firearm, in this case, a 40 caliber, when police officers approached him on South Green Street in Chicago. He was accused of illegal use of a firearm.
He was sentenced to pay a deposit of 100 000 $, and his lawyer claims to have new evidence of the innocence of Banks. The latter finally declared that the gun was indeed his He was released on 18 July 2013 again. On midnight of March 27, 2015, Lil Durk’s supervisor, OTF Chino (whose real name is Uchenna Agina), was shot dead in Chicago.
The Chicago Tribune reports that at about 1 pm 50, Chino suffered several shots while resting in a car in front of a restaurant in Avalon Park. According to news, he was sitting in a vehicle in Block 8400 Stony Island Avenue South, when an armed man approached on foot and fired shots into the car, before shooting at the man several times once in the head. The Chicago Sun-Times says he was taken to Trinity Hospital by a friend. Chino was only 24 years old.
