In 2012, K. Michelle joined the cast of the VH1 Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta reality show for Season 1. During the reality show, K. Michelle announces that she wants to leave the reality show after the second season to move to New York and join the cast of Love & Hip Hop: New York and focus on her musical career. Shortly after its appearance of reality TV, K. Michelle signed a contract with Atlantic Records and announced that his 1 st album would be released in 2013. On April 22, 2013, K.
